Prosperity Starts with the Right Vision

Let's Adjust Our Sight

My Goal

My goal is to create healthy communities by strengthening the bonds between the community development and the  health care sector which is a logical and necessary next step in the evolution of both fields of practice. Whenever possible, we strive to elevate the voices and lived experiences of residents in communities to inform how we create, manage and scale programs and partnerships.

 My Story

I am Leslie Alexander, CEO of Diversified Business Logistics, LLC a Woman Owned Small Business. I am a South Carolina Native and a member of the American Business Women's Association. I have worked in the Development and Healthcare industries for over 20 years. I have been instrumental in building housing communities, shopping centers, healthcare facilities and banks. From Maine to Florida and everything east of the Mississippi River I monitored developments and ensured we came in on time and under budget. In healthcare, I worked with numerous associations and the House of Delegates, assisting providers where I was needed. I was the person who performed the process of organizing and verifying the professional records that qualify a doctor to practice medicine. This includes their board certifications, hospital admitting privileges, education, malpractice insurance, professional references, work history, and more. I established the offices where physicians worked. From Conception to completion I've done it all. With this expertise, it was only natural to put the two together and create healthier communities that provide housing and utilizes rural healthcare and gives the local community access to educational and employment opportunities.

Planned Development

There are high rates of domestic violence among people seen in mental health and substance use disorder treatment settings, and it has long been recognized that domestic violence can have significant mental health and substance use-related effects. However, there exists a lack of collaboration, coordination, and partnership by and between these three service systems on the state and local levels.  Our goal is to create separate facilities and provide coordinated Healthcare services for all of them.

Stable housing is an important part of the recovery process for people struggling with addiction. Maintaining sobriety may be difficult for individuals without access to stable housing, even among those successfully completing treatment. When opioid users experience homelessness or unstable housing conditions, recovery from addiction is almost impossible.

“No one should have to choose between maintaining housing and staying safe. The Violence Against Women Act makes clear that survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking cannot be denied housing and are eligible for an emergency transfer should the need arise,” said Secretary Marcia L. Fudge. “
